The City of Busan has established a plan to extend career-development which also includes support for Busan-based foreign students.

The new measures include extending the current internship program and special career lecture, expanding the job fair for foreign students as well as offering career support for students returning to their home countries.

The Foreign Student Job Fair will be held at the foreign student booth at the Busan·Ulsan·Gyeongnam Job Festival, which is scheduled to be held at BEXCO in November 2014.

Prior to the job fair, the city will conduct research on roughly 2,000 companies located in the Busan, Ulsan and Gyeongnam areas in the month of May. In addition, in order to attract outstanding talent to the city as well as provide an opportunity for hopeful students after graduation, companies with employment plans are actively encouraged to participate in the fair.

The city will also operate a window for foreign students who will be searching for a job in their native countries once they return home. The Busan Foundation for International Activities plans to conduct a test operation from June with its database of Busan-based companies whose operations extend abroad and have job openings.

T he city will promote the internship programs to extend to participating companies and provide more useful, professionally designed career lectures.
