Busan International Cruise Terminal, located in Dongsam-dong, Yeongdo-gu, has been renovated to incorporate the beauty of traditional Korean buildings.

An 800 square meter outdoor area by the international cruise terminal was renovated as a traditional Korean space in which to relax, with the aim of providing foreign cruise tourists with a good first impression of the beautiful city of Busan.

The traditional Korean-style pavilion, wall, garden and other attractions built in the international cruise terminal create the perfect setting for modern architecture.

In addition, the traditional garden was made with various trees standing strong against the sea breeze.

An official of Busan City said, “The newly renovated International Cruise Terminal will communicate the traditional beauty of Korea and provide a good place to relax.” and added, “We are striving to expand the number of international cruises and to boost the regional tourism industry.”

Last year, international cruise ships docked at Busan Port 77 times and about 130,000 cruise tourists entered the city. In particular, 130,000 ton-class international cruise ships with 3,000 guests will dock at Busan Port next year and the number of cruise services basing their operations in Busan is expected to grow as well.
