The Geumnyeonsan Youth Training Institute will run a mobile astronomy observatory for the public to observe the stars at Gwangalli Beach on May 11, 2014 from 4 p.m. - 10 p.m.
Anyone who visits the venue can participate in the event free of charge.
It will run the following programs:
△ Observing the sun through an astronomical telescope
△ Making a constellation cube
△ Information session about astrophotographs
△ Screening video about space science
△ Observing the stars and planets after sunset through an astronomical telescope
The mobile astronomy observatory is an annual event, which provides the public with an opportunity to observe the stars and planets at major attractions across the city. It will be held a total of three times this year starting at Songdo Beach in April and then moving to Gwangalli Beach on May 11 and Haeundae Beach on June 8.
