The final round of Busan AD STARS 2011 or Busan International Advertising Festival will take place at Haeundae Grand Hotel and Haeundae Beach from August 25 to 27.
The theme of this year’s festival will be the “Future of Advertising,” and around 6,000 advertisements from 45 countries are expected to be on show.
Now in its fourth year, the Busan AD STARS festival decided its plans and budget at a general meeting in Busan City Hall on February 17.
At the meeting, Lee Eui-ja, chairman of AD STARS Executive Committee, and Choi Hwan-jin, an executive and professor at Hanshin University Division of Advertising and Visual Communication, were appointed as the co-chairs of this year’s event.
AD STARS 2011 is looking to generate increased interest from Seoul and its metropolitan area this year, as many of the country’s top ad agencies and advertisers are located there.
A detailed schedule for the event has already been confirmed. During this year’s AD STARS, a dome style “AD STARS Village” will be set up on Haeundae Beach so that visitors can enjoy the festival and escape the heat.
The AD STARS Village will house booths for NGOs and public brands from around the world.
Nearby, an outdoor stage will be set up to host the Beach AD Night and CM Song Festival.
