Busan City Sports Facilities Management Office will temporarily close Sajik Indoor Swimming Pool for one month, for repairs to subsidiary facilities from March 1 until March 31.
Sajik Indoor Swimming Pool, built in 1989, is a public sports facility which has hosted various international competitions including the 1997 East Asian Games and the 2002 Asian Games, as well as numerous National Sports Festivals. It is the biggest swimming pool in Busan with 18,000 visitors every day.
The swimming pool is open from 6 a.m. until 9 p.m. all year round except on Mondays, and during the Lunar New Year and Chuseok holidays.
An official of the Sports Facilities Management Office said, “We would like to provide a safe and pleasant facility for Busan citizens by improving the subsidiary facilities in the swimming pool. We will also use this occasion to carry out maintenance work on the swimming pool as well.”
