International flights from Busan on the increase

A total of 240 planes take flight each week

 

International airlines have steadily increased their flights from Gimhae International Airport in Busan.

 

According to Busan City, the number of international flights from Gimhae International Airport has increased drastically to 240 flights a week to 28 cities in 11 countries from 167 flights a week to 22 cities in eight countries.

 

A total of 30 new flights, including 22 new flight routes and eight new flights to existing routes will start operating in the peak months of July and August. Viva Macau Airlines set up five new weekly flights for the Busan-Macau route starting in July, and Shanghai Airlines has set up seven flights for the Busan-Shanghai route from July 27.

 

Singapore Airlines started to operate the Busan-Singapore route, making seven flights a week, on July 25. Vietnamese Airlines plans to start its flights on the Busan-Hanoi route on three occasions a week from August.

 

Hong Kong Dragon Airlines increased the number of flights on the Busan-Hong Kong route from three flights a week to seven, effective July 1.

 

Philippine Airlines increased the number of flights on the Busan-Manila route from four flights a week to six, effective July 20, while PMTair increased its workload on the Busan-Siamrip route from two flights a week to four, effective July 22.
