The Busan Transportation Corporation announced that starting from August 4, it would offer subway one-day pass which can be used unlimitedly during the purchase date. The subway one-day pass is expected to gain popularity among tourists and sales persons. It can be purchased from ticket machines installed at subway stations for 3,500 won, which is about three times of the one block fare 1,100 won and it cannot be shared with anyone. Only unused pass can be refunded within its issuing date. The ticket is not transferable to bus.

Economical one-month pass for subway commuters and students will also be available from September 1. With a one-month pass card purchased for 45,000 won from transportation card recharge machine at subway stations, a card holder can take the subway up to 60 times in 30 days. Riding the subway 60 times in 30 days with the pass would save 30 percent of the regular fare. Either after 30 days or 60 times of use, the remaining period or frequency in the card will become invalid, but the card can be recharged. The one-month pass, dedicated to subway, cannot be used for buses.

Administrative Director Kim In-hwan of the Busan transportation Corporation said, “We introduced the subway one-day pass earlier than scheduled for tourists who visit Busan for summer vacation and sales persons who often use public transportation.” He added, “We hope that people will use the economic and convenient subway more often.”
