The citizens and tourists of Busan will be able to witness a spectacular fire works and laser show at Gwangalli Beach like last November 16th, during the APEC (Asia Pacific Economic Committee) Conference.

The city of Busan announced that the fire works and the show would be held every year at Gwangalli Beach as one of the post-APEC projects to commemorate a successful conference in Busan last year.

The total estimated budget for this event is about 50 billion won from the city’s fund, along with 70 billion won of donations from companies to create a mega sized multi-media show with a variety of lighting, sound effects, visuals and fire crackers.

Just like the last year’s event, the fire works will be held as a major festivity around October and November at Gwangalli Beach and on Gwangan Grand Bridge. It is already discussed that the city will pay special attention this year to resolve the traffic jams and other inconveniences as many citizens were critical about last year. Therefore, the city will plan ahead with some resolutions such as setting the day of the event on Saturday with an added number of subways to aid public transportation for the viewers.

The officials said, “We will be able to have detailed plans by September, and cooperate with police and other agencies to make this event be as successful and as beautiful as last year.”
