The 3rd Busan Nakdong Riverside Yuchae Flower Festival, hosted by the Busan Nakdong River Project Management Office and organized by the Organizing Committee for Busan Culture & Tourism Festival, will be held from April 11-13 at Daejeo Ecological Park in Gangseo-gu.
Over 530,000 square meters of Yuchae flowerbeds have been planted to provide enjoyment to visitors at Daejeo Ecological Park in Gangseo-gu District.
For the first time, paths through the Yuchae flowerbeds have been cleared so visitors are able to truly appreciate the natural beauty of the gardens. Musical performances will also to take place at various locations along the trails.
As part of the public art project ‘Meet with Nature’, giant flower sculptures resembling butterflies among others will decorate the paths crossing the park.
How to get there: Take Metro Line No. 3 to Gangseo-gu Office Station, then leave by Exit No. 2, or take Bus Nos. 123, 127, 128-1, or 130 and get off at Gangseo-gu Office, which is about a 15 minute walk from the park.
The festival has received a good response from citizens as it welcomed roughly 60,000 visitors in 2012.
