The Busan Nakdong River Project Management Office has opened a sledding slope at the public outdoor swimming pool at Hwamyeong Waterfront Park in Buk-gu. The slope will be open to sledders every Saturday and Sunday from March 21 - May 11, 2014.
The artificial snow slope for the winter months transformed to allow visitors to be able to enjoy sledding even during spring. The slope itself is 31.5 meters long, 18 meters wide and 7 meters high and will provide a safe, entertaining experience for the whole family.
Opening hours are from 9:30 a.m. until 5:30 p.m. and admission is free. The all-day fare is 3,000 won and other ride fares vary from 1,000 won to 3,000 won per ride.
To get to the toboggan slope by metro, get off at Sujeong Station (Line 2) and then walk about ten minutes toward the Nakdong riverside. By bus, take Bus Nos. 15, 59, 111, 121, 126 or 1009. Free parking is also available for those going there by car.
As an all-year-round family-oriented theme park, the Hwamyeong Outdoor Swimming Pool will be used as a water park in the hot summer months, as a skating rink and sledding grounds in the winter, and as an outdoor stage and cafeteria in the spring and fall.
