The Busan Foundation for International Activities announced that it will run three separate sessions of a World Language Class & Special Lecture on World Culture in 2014.
The program aims to increase cultural exchanges between the citizens of Busan and foreign residents to help all involved understand more about different multicultural societies.
The first session of the World Language Class will be operated from March 24 ? May 17 for eight weeks. A total of 12 classes focusing on the Filipino, French, Vietnamese, Russian, Thai, Mongolian, Khmer(Cambodia), Spanish, Italian, Persian language, Croatian and Indonesian culture will be operated for two hours once a week. All classes are designed for beginners and offered in Korean and English.
Any Busan resident who is 19 years of age or older is eligible to apply for the class through the BFIA website at http://www.bfia.or.kr. The application deadline is March 16, 2014.

In addition, the BFIA will put on world culture lectures every Thursday in April from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.
Lecturers include: Mangal Sain Professor of Pusan National University, Jay Kronish President of the Israel Cultural Center in Busan, Martin Vermeulen Head of Netherland Enterprise, Kwemoi Kamary Professor of Kosin University.
