Despite a prolonged business slump, outlets in the region are faring well and they are planning to expand their facilities.
Apple Outlet, a discount mall in Sasang-gu, Busan, has enjoyed a sales increase of over 30 percent since it opened in April last year, thanks to the five-day work week that has helped push up the sales of sports and casual wear.
A Head shop here that opened in April this year topped the list of the company's ten branches across the nation, while a Trek Star shop in the city starting business in August this year has recorded an increase of 43.5 percent in sales.
Apple Outlet opened a 500-pyong annex shop in August this year and is going to enlarge it to 1,000 pyong by integrating the two annex shops in April next year.
