The city government plans to build an IT complex, in which IT companies will be located and be served by a one-stop business service, including the assistance of product development and the attraction of foreign purchasers.


The municipality and the Busan IT Industry Promotion Agency announced Thursday that the IT complex, an 18-story building with 15 floors above the ground and 3 underneath, would be built within the Centumcity's Digital Media Zone in Haeundae.


The authorities plan to form a cluster of Busan's 200-odd IT companies gathered within the IT complex, which would be built with 82 billion won, including the city's own budget of 36.7 billion won and the central government transfer of 45.3 billion won.


The region has approximately 60 IT companies housed in the four IT venture promotion centers, including the Busan IT Venture Center in Haeundae's Centumcity, the Busan Software Promotion Center in Nam-gu, the Busan Multimedia Promotion Center in Yeongdo-gu, and the Mora Software Promotion Center in Sasang-gu.
