Nam-gu District will start to build a herb garden on a 1,200 area of the Sculpture Park, in Daeyeon-dong, at the end of January and plans to complete the garden by the end of February.

The garden will consist of 20 different species and 30,000 herbs, including fatigue and stress relief herbs such as Rosemary, Lavender, Cherry Sage, and Super Mint.

An official of Nam-gu said, “A variety of scented herbs in the garden will help pedestrians to treat their fatigue and restore their energy levels. We expect that the herb garden will become a new attraction along with the nearby UN Memorial Cemetery, Daeyeon Arboretum, Peace Park, Sculpture Park, Busan Cultural Center and Busan Museum.”

The herb garden, bordered by a small stream which is also being improved in time for next month, will offer not only local residents but all citizens of Busan citizens the opportunity to enjoy its wonderful and therapeutic aroma.
