National Maritime Museum to break ground on January 29

The Ministry of Land, Transport and Maritime Affairs will hold a groundbreaking ceremony for the National Maritime Museum on January 29 at the International Cruise Terminal, Dongsam-dong, Yeongdo-gu, Busan.

 

As the first of its kind in the nation, the 4-story museum building (25,279 m²) will be constructed on a 45,000 m² site by the cruise terminal at a cost of about 100 billion won. The Build-Transfer-Lease (BTL) project is scheduled to open in May, 2012.
