A 50-day-long shopping festival to kick off in Busan

Busan City is to hold the shopping festival, ‘Busan Grand Sale 2011’ event, which will run from January 10 to February 28 in which 2,300 stores, restaurants, and hotels will be participating.
○ Period: January 10, 2011 ~ February 28, 2011
○ Venue: Major tourist attractions in Busan including Haeundae, Nampo-dong, Gwangalli and Seomyeon
○ Eligibility: All foreign tourists and foreign residents in Korea
○ Sales event held by participating shopping, lodging, food, culture, tourism, beauty and health businesses. Discounts ranging from 5 percent to 50 percent, free admissions and free gifts are being offered (on presentation of a discount coupon)
(70 companies and 2,328 retailers are participating (including chain stores and branch stores): 1,120 shops, 15 lodging facilities, 183 food and beverage outlets, 1,010 tourist attractions)
○Discount coupon type: membership card, paper coupon on the leaflet, online coupon from the website at www.koreagrandsale.or.kr, and mobile coupon system.
○Discount Coupon Pick Up Locations: Airport, Coastal Passenger Ferry Terminal, International Passenger Ferry Terminal, Tourist Information Centers, Busan Foundation of International Activities (BFIA), Korea Tourism Organization, hotels and travel agencies.
