Call it the summer of youth. People aged 18 to 24 can travel anywhere in Korea by train between July 11 and Sept. 6 for seven days for less than the price of a roundtrip ticket between Seoul and Busan, Korail, the state railway corporation, announced yesterday.
The tickets, called “Rail Ro,” are good for unlimited trips on any train, except the KTX.
The tickets will be sold between July 6 and the end of August, Korail said in a release. The price of the ticket is 49,800 won ($53.70).
The ticket does not guarantee an assigned seat, so ticket holders might have to take advantage of less-crowded trains on weekdays, said Bang Chang-hoon, head of Korail’s passenger marketing team.
The ticket is available at any train station.
