Busan Port International Passenger Terminal, providing interpretation services

Volunteer interpretation services are going to be provided for the foreigners. Busan Port Authority (BPA) embarked the services after having a ceremony with 42 volunteers at the BPA headquarter on June 15 2007. The volunteers who were collected by Busan Volunteer Center in respond to BPAs request are composed of 21 English and Japanese service providers. The language services will be provided in a pair of each language on a daily basis. They will provide the services at Entrance and Exit Gate and Waiting Room. The majority of the volunteers are between 60s and 70s so that they are expected to provide not only language services but information on history, culture and tourism. Among them, the oldest is 79 years old Gang Myeong-su responsible for English services every Tuesday afternoon.

 

BPA said that it will do its best to provide the best services for foreigners and this is just a part of the efforts.
