Busan Mayor Hur meets Azerbaijan President Aliyev

Busan Mayor Hur Nam-sik met with Azerbaijan President Ilham Aliyev during his visit to Busan City and discussed the possibility of Busan businesses participating in large-scale state-run projects in Azerbaijan.

 

At the meeting, Mayor Hur asked for the president's cooperation in allowing Busan businesses to be able to take part in ongoing work in construction of harbors, highways and information technology infrastructure in the former republic of the Soviet Union.

 

It was reported that President Ilham Aliyev responded positively to the request, saying, "the ongoing infrastructure construction work will continue to 2011."

 

"We also hope to see businesses in Busan equipped with advanced technology in the mechanical, shipbuilding and harbor construction sectors."Both sides are likely to benefit from the mutual cooperation in many areas.
