The Busan Foundation for International Activities (BFIA) will invite the winners of Korean speech contests held abroad to Busan.

Last November, Korean speech contests were held in some of Busan's sister cities including Fukuoka and Shimonoseki in Japan and Kaohsiung in Taiwan. The BFIA will invite the winner of the Fukuoka contest to Busan for Korean classes and to experience Korean traditional culture and homestay from Feb 12 to 15. One of the winners from Shimonoseki will receive round tickets between Busan and Shimonoseki. Winners from Kaohsiung will get a chance to take part in a language study abroad program from Feb 20.

The BFIA encourages foreigners to learn Korean by supporting Korean language learners living in its sister cities, and makes efforts to raise the Busan City brand by inviting the winners to Korea.
