Geumnyeonsan Youth Training Institute to hold free family-oriented events every third Sunday of each month.

Geumnyeonsan Youth Training Institute  will run '2013 Family Experience Events' every third Sunday of each month from April through August. The first event was held on Sunday, April 21.  

  

Anyone, including teenagers, families and hikers, who visit the Geumnyeonsan Youth Training Institute  on that day can enjoy the following programs. 

  

April 21, May 19, June 16, July 21 and August 18 at 1:00 p.m. ~ 5:00 p.m.

Observation of the sun at the astronomy observatory  

Making pottery 

Traditional Korean tea ceremony experience 

Sports Climbing at the Hae Oreum (Rising Sun) Artificial Rock Climbing Walls 

  

Reservations are not required. All programs are free of charge. 

  

On the day of the events, a shuttle bus will run between Geumnyeonsan Metro Station (Exit 6) and Geumnyeonsan Youth Training Institute  parking lot for the convenience of those using public transportation, and parking lots at Geumnyeonsan Youth Training Institute  will also be available. The shuttle from Geumnyeonsan Metro Station departs at 1:00pm, 2:00pm, 3:00pm and 4:00pm, and from Geumnyeonsan Youth Training Institute  parking lot departs at 1:40pm, 2:40pm, 3:40pm and 5:00pm.  

 

In addition, visitors can take a picture here and get their picture developed for free.  

  

An official of the Geumnyeonsan Youth Training Institute  said, "We strive to provide a fun experience for all visitors. We hope that many people will come to the Center this Sunday and enjoy a variety of activities in the beautiful natural setting we have here."   

  

Events may be canceled in the case of inclement weather.
