Every gu and gun
in Busan will hold New Year’s Sunrise Festivals starting around 6:30 a.m. on
January 1, 2015, at the following locations.
○ Songdo Beach,
Seo-gu (6:30 a.m.)
○ Mt. Sujeong
Family Sports Park, Dong-gu (6:50 a.m.)
○ Taejongdae
Observatory, Yeongdo-gu (6:30 a.m.)
○ Bukjangdae at
Mt. Maansan, Dongnae-gu (7:00 a.m.)
○ Oryukdo
Skywalk, Nam-gu (7:00 a.m.)
○ Geumjeong
Sanseong Fortress North Gate Square, Geumjeong-gu (6:00 a.m.)
○ Shinho-dong
breakwater, Gangseo-gu (6:30 a.m.)
○ The site of an
ancient castle at Mt. Baesan, Yeonje-gu (6:30 a.m.)
○ Gwangalli
Beach, Suyeong-gu (6:30 a.m.)
The upper level
of Gwangan Bridge will be open to all visitors from 6 a.m. - 9 a.m. on January
1, 2015. Traffic on the upper level of the bridge will be shut down from 5 a.m.
- 10 a.m. on January 1, 2015.
New Year’s
celebrations including flying kites, drum performances and folk plays are also
scheduled to be held.
