The International Friendships Exhibition Hall where you can view the footprints of the City’s international exchange activities opened at Busan City Hall (1F) on February 27, 2013.
The International Friendships Exhibition Hall features information about our 31 sister cities from 26 countries, plus symbolic sculptures such as the Great Wall of China and bungalow, and various souvenirs from the sister cities.
The exhibition hall creates an easy and convenient atmosphere for audiences similar to an art gallery.
In addition, the exhibition hall provides a special photo-taking experience for audiences. At Chroma Key Photo Zone, you can take a photo of yourself wearing one of a variety the world’s traditional costumes provided in the exhibition hall. While taking your photo, you can also select a background image among our sister city images. The taken photos can be transmitted to your mobile phone as well.
Presently, Busan City has a sister-city relationship with 31 cities from 26 countries. It has been 47 years since the establishment of its first sister-city relationship made with Kaohsiung, Taiwan in 1966. Through international exchange and cooperation with its sister cities, Busan City has strengthened its reputation on the international level while increasing its ability to build a global network for Busan-based companies.
A City official said, “The International Friendships Exhibition Hall provides audiences with various things to see and enjoy.“ And he added, “We expect that the International Friendships Exhibition Hall shows the city's status as an international city, open to the world to our Korean and foreign guests, and citizens.”
