Making its jump towards becoming “the hub of Asian short films”, Busan International Short Film Festival unveiled this year’s poster.
To
take place between April 22 and 26, the 33rd Busan International
Short Film Festival produced its official poster based on the drone photography
‘Ways’ by Busan born photographer Oh Seung-hwan.
In
an effort to escape this year’s unusually cold winter and make way for a warm
spring, the 33rd Busan International Short Film Festival is
preparing stories, not your story or my story, but “our” stories. The poster
presents a hope of the warm spring amid the harsh conditions of winter. The
picture also makes a symbolic expression of the road Busan International Short
Film Festival is taking toward the hub of short film festivals.
Photographer
Oh Seung-hwan focuses, not on the various scenery and things seen in Ways, but
rather on the diverse viewpoints of those looking at it. His photograph thus
walks parallel with Busan International Short Film Festival, where myriads of
films and different stories coexist.
We
hope that the 33rd Busan International Short Film Festival poster
will give the audience a sensory view of the short film’s reflection and a
moment’s capture. The Busan International Short Film Festival poster can be
viewed at the BISFF official website (www.bisff.org) and at the photographer’s
homepage (http://www.dronepress.co.kr).
Meanwhile,
Busan International Short Film Festival has again received a record number of
4,497 films entering the competition section, making the admission rate 1 in
89. The films making it to the finals in International and Korean Competitions
will be announced on February 25 through the official website (www.bisff.org).
