The No. 1007 express bus service began between Jeonggwan New Town, Gijang-gun and Busan City Hall via the Huijeongno entrance road, Gomnae Tunnel and Beonyeongno from December 1 to make public transport access more convenient for Jeonggwan New Town’s residents.

The No. 1007 bus runs from Jeonggwan New Town, Gijang-gun to Busan City Hall via Centum City in Haeundae-gu and Yeonsan Intersection in Yeonje-gu (the journey takes about 65 minutes) at 25 to 30-minute intervals, from 5:00 a.m. until 10:10 p.m.

The city expects that the operation of the No. 1007 express bus will improve downtown access for residents of Jeonggwan New Town and Cheolma-myeon. It is also expected to contribute to the activation of Jeonggwan New Town and Jeonggwan Industrial Complex, which currently remain in 60 percent of resident’s settlement.

The upgraded bus with widened seats and high-quality seat covers will provide a comfortable ride to passengers at the same fare as the regular express bus - 1,500 won by cash or 1,400 won by transportation card.

Busan City plans to upgrade its fleet of express buses (No. 1000 ~ 1006) and 153 airport buses between now and the year 2013. This year, 36 express buses traveling between Busan Station and Seomyeon will be upgraded.
