Busan Subway to expand its customer services.

Busan Transportation Corporation intends to enhance customer satisfaction by anticipating customers’ needs. The Corporation is incorporating the concept of humanity in its new brand name, “Humetro”.

 

If you commute or get around Busan by subway, you no longer need to worry about your mobile phone battery running flat because since May 15 a free rapid mobile phone recharging service has been in operation at 14 stations on Line 3. The rapid charging machines, which take about 20 minutes to fully recharge four mobiles at once, are near the Customer Service Center at each of the participating stations. Regular mobile recharging machines are still available at customer service centers on Lines 1 and 2.

 

 

If you are traveling with infants, you can also rent a baby stroller for free at the subway station.

Gwangan and Haeundae subway stations, which serve two of the most popular tourist spots in the city, have offered this service since May to assist the many family groups going to these places. At Centum City Station, many local people with babies and infants have also been using this service. All you need in order to rent a stroller free of charge is some form of valid identification.

 

Services for foreigners have also been improved. A total of 444 self-service ticket vending machines have had their language options expanded to include Chinese and Japanese, to satisfy the demand from increasing numbers of tourists from Japan and China. These multi-language self-service ticket vending machines are installed at all stations in Busan (Line 1, 2 and 3). The new machines will allow increased numbers of tourists from China and Japan to buy subway tickets more quickly and easily.

 

In addition, customer service centers at all Busan subway stations provide an umbrella rental service on rainy days.
