Busan City is making every effort to support students taking the College Scholastic Ability Test (CSAT) on November 12. 46,913 students are due to take the exam from 8:40 a.m. to 6:05 p.m. in 68 high schools across Busan. All test-takers have to enter the class by 8:10 a.m. on the day of the exam. Busan Medical Center and Bumin Hospital will provide a special examination room for students who are sick.

 

On the exam day, the City will operate its entire public transport fleet, including 2,532 buses on 130 bus routes and 571 village/neighborhood buses on 139 routes - from 6 a.m. to 8:10 a.m.  

Busan Transportation Corporation will keep 4 additional subway trains on standby for emergencies at Nopo, Shinpyeong, Hopo and Daejeo Station. Bus-only roads will be released from 7 a.m. to 8:10 a.m. Busan Fire Department will give a ride for handicapped students to the exam venues.

 

Workers at government offices, public agencies, financial firms, schools and firms with more than 50 employees will be allowed to arrive at work by 10 a.m., an hour later than the usual 9 a.m.. This measure is to prevent traffic jams in the early morning, so that test-takers can get to the exam venues on time.

 

The City will restrict construction work near the exam sites so that noise will not disturb students during the listening and speaking tests, which will start at 8:40 a.m. and last 13 minutes, and at 1:10 p.m. for 20 minutes, respectively.
