The opening ceremony of Eulsukdo Bridge, connecting Gangseo-gu and Saha-gu, will be held on October 29. The public opening of the bridge is scheduled for October 30 at 5 a.m.

The new bridge is expected to ease chronic traffic congestion in the West Busan area and become a new pivotal point of the metropolitan transportation network across the Southeastern region and of the logistics in Busan.

Eulsukdo Bridge is a 5,205 meter-long 6-lane bridge, which connects No. 75 Square, Myeongji-dong, Gangseo-gu and No. 66 Square, Sinpyeong-dong, Saha-gu. The opening of the bridge will in particular improve traffic condition on the Nakdong Bridge during rush hours and accelerate the attraction of companies to the Noksan Industrial Complex and West Busan Logistics Complex, as well as the growth of companies already there. The bridge will connect with the South Port Bridge, North Port Bridge and Gwangan Bridge, as a key part of the Busan Coastal Beltway, and also become a core part of the Busan Outer Beltway which will also connect Haeundae-Songjeong IC to the Noksan Industrial Complex via the northern loop through Gijang-Ilgwang IC, Sangdong Myeon in Gimhae, Jinrae JC and Ungdong in Jinhae.

In addition, the bridge will link with the highway connecting the New Port’s hinterland area to Jinju, Daejeon and Seoul via the Namhae Highway. It will therefore help in the establishment of an international industrial logistics complex in the vicinity of Busan New Port.
