The performance commemorating the one year anniversary of the opening of the National Center for Korean Traditional Performing Arts in Busan to be held.

To celebrate the first anniversary of the opening of the National Center for Korean Traditional Performing Arts in Busan(NCKTPAB), a performance of ‘Open Wings of Dance with Gesture ’ will be held on October 28 at 7:30 p.m. in the Grand Hall of the NCKTPAB.

The performance will reinterpret the Dongnae Hakchum (Crane Dance), a regional folk dance, and feature Seungjeonmu (Victory Dance) from Tongyeong, dividing a sword dance and a drum dance to express through dance the energetic strides that the NCKTPAB has made in its first year. In addition, the gorgeous Gungjungjeongjae (court banquet dances) and Seonyurak (Dance of the Boats) will express regional symbols such as the sea, the port and ships, while Chunaengjeon (Dance of the Spring Nightingale) will express the splendor of spring and the beauty of birdsong, and Cheoyongmu (The Dance of Cheoyong) will also be performed.

Tickets cost 6,000 won and 8,000 won, depending on the seat. Young people, the elderly and the handicapped, as well as foreign residents in Korea and multi-child families, can receive a 50 percent discount. Admission is free for those whose birthday falls on October 28.
