Nicknaming the Busan Metro Lines by color

Busan Transportation Corporation has decided to give the Busan Metro lines nicknames, according to their color – Orange Line (Line 1), Green Line (Line 2), Brown Line (Line 3), and Blue Line (Line 4). 

 

There were 3,491 suggestions submitted to the public competition and 10,592 citizens participated in the preference research.

 

Prior to this, ‘Humetro’, the brand name of Busan Metro, was announced last year. ‘Humetro’, which combines the words ‘human’ and ‘metro’, implies the importance of the metro system for humans.
