Busan City Will Lure Grand Type Call Center

Busan City will first lure call center to Busan, a direct window for telephone service and is expected to employ 900 people. With Busan City Mayor Hur Nam-sik, Domino Pizza Representative Oh Gwang-hyun and Representative Yun Do-yong of call center, an outsourcing enterprise attended, Busan City concluded a memorandum that the call center of Domino in Seoul will transfer to Busan.

By concluding the memorandum, Busan City will establish a call center of 200 seats this year and transfer the call center of 4000 seats in Seoul by next year. The attraction of the call centers is the results that the city reformed its bylaws and made positive efforts at attraction by operating task force. This attraction of medium-sized enterprise is expected to give rise to momentum to let in other enterprises to this region.

He city plans to create workplaces of 6000 people by the end of next year by attracting some 30 call center enterprises and already made some progress in attraction negotiations with five other enterprises. The transfer of Seoul Domino Pizza to Busan means that its management strategy changed and gives publicity to Busan’s reformed bylaws the advantages of Busan. An official of the Busan City disclosed, “ Five enterprises in the field of finance, communication and insurance besides the Domino Pizza Call Center are coming into tangible results of negotiation.” In this situation, the city is considering to offer some encouraging funds for employment to the call centers already operating here.
