From April 11 through May 4, the Ministry of Education and Human Resources Development is holding the 10th E-learning Exhibition in four major cities in succession, starting at the Busan Exhibition and Convention Center(BEXCO).
Jointly organized by the Local Offices of Education in Busan, Daegu, Jeonnam and Chungnam, the exhibition opens three different pavilions under the central theme of “Enjoy e-Learning in Everyday Life!,” so as to provide participants witha chance to vividly observe and experience the present and future of Korea's world-class e-learning.
The Theme Pavilion will showcase digital textbooks for primary 5th and 6th graders, currently under development. The KOEL(Korea E-learning) Station will also be on display, a high-tech educational device that enables students to freely download contents of their wish by means of a u-table and touch magic mirror.
Diverse chances of interaction are provided at the Experience Pavilion. For example, the Busan Metropolitan City Office of Education will feature a u-health checkup program and u-library, where students may borrow and return books without the help of library staff. The Daegu Office will showcase a tailored academic assessment system, e-books, and an online evaluation method using UMPC.
In another wing, the Industry Pavilion will introduce diverse e-learning hardware, software and contents developed by domestic private companies. Fifty-four companies will participate in introducing new products and best purchase guides to parents and teachers.
The exhibition is open to the public, and will he held in Busan on April 11~13, Daegu on April 18~20, Gwangju on April 25~27, and Cheonan on May 2~4.
