The government of the Republic of Korea and various state-run trade promotion organizations said on Tuesday that they will be carrying out an investor relations (IR) blitz in North America and Europe in order to promote investment in the free economic zones (FEZs) of Inchon, Busan and Gwangyang.
The IR team, led by Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency (KOTRA) President Oh Young-kyo, accompanied by the Head of INVESTKOREA, Alan Timblick, will visit New York this week, followed by stops in Amsterdam and Frankfurt next week to talk to brief investors on the benefits of investing in the port cities.
The road show forms part of the government's long-term economic strategy of promoting balanced regional development and its efforts to promote Korea as a regional economic and financial hub.
