Gwangalli Eobang Festival selected as one of Korea’s promising festivals

Gwangalli Eobang Festival hosted by Suyeong-gu has been selected as one of Korea’s promising festivals in 2013 by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism. This year’s festival will be financially supported by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism.

 

Suyeong-gu District plans to host Gwangalli Eobang Festival 2013 from April 26-28 around Gwangalli Beach. A variety of programs including the reenactment of Jindueohwa, or traditional torchlight fishing, Eobang fishnet dragging on the theme of the sea is scheduled to be held.

 


A Suyeong-gu official said, “This spring, citizens and visitors to Gwangalli Beach can enjoy a variety of many events along with the participating events of the Gwangalli Eobang Festival.”
