Invitation for Foreign Resident Monitors 2013


Busan City would like to address any inconveniences felt by foreign residents and to implement a more inclusive municipal administration for all citizens by collecting the opinions of foreigners living in Busan on its various administrative measures and policies. In this regard, Busan Metropolitan City plans to recruit foreign residents who will monitor its municipal administration as follows. We look forward to your active participation.


1. Overview

  ○ Number of foreign resident monitors: 10 people

  ○ Application Period: February 5, 2013 (Tue) - February 15, 2013 (Fri)

  ○ Qualification: Any foreigners living in Busan with access to an Internet connection who is

                         interested in becoming involved in the municipal administration.

  ○ Role: Providing suggestions or opinions about the city's development and citizens' lives,

              and about ways to improve the civil service

  ○ Term: March 1, 2013 - February 28, 2014

    ▷ This term can be extended for a period of one year for outstanding activities.

  ○ Advantages: Mailing service for Dynamic Busan and Busan Story, complimentary movie for

                        Monday Movies at Busan Citizens' Center, awards for outstanding monitoring

                        activities, opportunities for field trips to administrative offices, etc.

  ○ Note: This position is an unpaid volunteer position with no other privileges.
