It is because of the various winter sports that you can enjoy, appreciating the charm of winter. There is no time to be bored even when waters start to freeze, snow falls down and wind blows. There are many ice rinks in the city where you can be active even in the middle of winter. Shinsegae Centum City Ice Rink, Dongnae Ice-Rink, Kukdong Leports Town and Busan Bukgu Cultural & Ice Center are some of many winter attractions in Busan.

Haeundae Shinsegae Department Store Centum City branch is really a department store with almost anything you can think of Cinema, jjimjilbang, bookstore and even an ice rink. There are shopping, dining and spa facilities in addition to skate rental at the ice rink, so it is very popular among the locals and visitors alike.
You can even enjoy the ocean view and the swimming pool. The ice rink is filled with sun rays as the glass walls let in the natural light during the day. The ice rink is on the 4th floor of the department store, and boasts spans 2,810 square meters which can accommodate up to 400 people.
There are various skates prepared for rental, buckle type, figure skates and hockey skates as well as lockers and a professional skate utility shop. Not only this, there is a snack bar selling 15 kinds of snacks adding the fun of enjoying, seeing and eating.

Busan Bukgu Cultural & Ice Center
It is the only international-size rink in Busan. You can enjoy winter sports all year round at this place.
The Busan Bukgu Cultural & Ice Center has one underground floor and three stories above on the 8,000 square meter space of total ground area with 4,800 square meter ice rink. The international-size rink is 30 meters by 61 meters.
The ice rink can accommodate up to 2,400 people per day. Some 500 people can skate together in the ice rink at once, and there are 545 spectator seats for those coming to watch. There is a medical room, locker room, shower room, restaurant and a snack stand. The place opened in July 2005 and during weekends an average of 300 to 400 patrons come to skate.
Of the patrons of the ice rink, majority of them are children. It is commonly understood that children are faster learners than adults when it comes to skating.
It is closed every Monday. In addition the Busan Bukgu Cultural &am p;am p;am p; Ice Center has a historical remains exhibition hall, cultural arts hall, lecture room beside the skating rink.
Metro line No. 2 and 3 Deokcheon Station exit 10. Walk toward Hwamyeong-dong and you can find the ice rink.

Dongnae Ice-Rink
It opened in August 2008. It is a 2,148 square meter rink where 400 people can skate at once. There is a resting area on the 2nd floor for some 300 people. On the 1st floor, there are resting areas, utility shop, rental shop (2,000 skates prepared) and more. There is also a skating class until end of January for skate beginners. Speed skating is available on 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. and figure skating classes are at 4 p.m. and 5 p.m. Classes are 130,000 won. You can take bus No. 42, 100, 100-1, 44, 44-1 and etc.

Kukdong Leports Town
If you live near Kyungsung University, Gwangalli or a visitor near this area, it is the ice rink you can find easily. It opened in January 1992. It is quite small in size as the rink is 991 square meters but it is famous for its high quality lessons with good teachers. If you want to learn skating for real then try the courses offered here. Lessons are 90,000 won. There is no limit in hours once you enter the rink, enjoy skating as much as you want. Get off at Geumnyeonsan Station and walk five minutes.

Hwamyeong Ecology Park’s sledge park
Hwamyeong Ecology Park snow sleigh
Snow sleigh slope opened in Hwamyeong Ecology Park. The outdoor swimming pool inside the park changes into a sledding area during the winter. Over 10,000 people visited since it opened in December 2012, quite popular already.
The snow sleigh slope will open until February 17, 2013. The sleigh course is 70 meters long, 18 meters wide and 7 meters high, just the place for a family outing!
In the admission sleigh rental charge is already included. There are also other free amusement facilities as trampoline and folk games and facilities that require additional charge as bumper cars (2,000 won to 4,000 won per usage).

Cheolma Ice Sleigh
Sleighing down on the ice is something to look forward to in the winter.
Cheolma Ice Sleigh area opened in front of Cheolma Sports Park in Cheolma-myeon.

Before you visit the place, you should check the site condition first by calling the office. Because on warm days, the ice melts and due to safety reasons, the sleighing area is closed.
