Busan Foundation for International Activities(BFIA) is looking for members of Advisory Council. This Advisory Council is held so that your opinions about the services we offer foreign and local citizens can be heard. Your opinion will be very helpful in ensuring that we create better programs for the development of Busan Global Center. Please speak candidly in this meeting about anything relating to our work.

 

□ Eligibility

 ○ Someone who has already experienced the programmes of the BFIA also is able to participate at the Regular Advisory Council of the BFIA.

 ○ Someone with real enthusiasm and ideas for Busan and the BFIA.

 ○ An ability to communicate in either Korean or English.

 ○ Residents who have already lived in Busan more than 2 years and who will stay

    here until December 2013.

 

□ The Number of Members: 20 people

  ※ Students(5), Married Female Immigrants(5), Migrant Workers(5), English Teachers(5), etc.

 

□ Roles of Advisory Members

 ○ To participate in Regular Advisory Council meetings twice a year which are scheduled in February and November.

  ▷ To submit a short report on given questions, or on ideas for the BFIA Advisory Council Meeting before the meeting.

  ▷ To provide new ideas and advice for programs of the BFIA and express opinions on living in Busan.

 

□ Period: February ~ December, 2013

 

□ Benefits

 ○ Conferment of a BFIA Advisory Council Letter of Appointment 

 ○ Participation fee (70,000 won per meeting)

    ※ If you do not show up at the meeting, the fee will not be paid.

 ○ Presentation of BFIA magazines and a souvenir

 ○ Invitation and Priority Participation Rights at BFIA events

 

□ How to select

 ○ We consider the applicant of nationality, position, sex, age, etc. so that all different kinds of foreigners can take part in.

 ○ Applicants recommended by their communities will be highly given preference.

 ○ Experiences of participating in BFIA programs are advantages.

 ○ Existing Advisory Members (‘10~’11) will be chosen over the other applicants.

 

□ Further schedule

 ○ Apply by 2.11(Mon), 2013.   ※ Please send the application to positiveboony@gmail.com

 ○ Result will be announced on 2.15(Fri), 2013.

 ○ Submit the 1st report by 2.21(Thu), 2013.

 ○ The 1st Advisory Council Meeting will be held on 2.24(Sun), 2013.

    ※ Conferment of a BFIA Advisory Council Letter of Appointment is also included.

 

□ Disqualification

 ○ Making defamatory remarks about the BFIA will lead to disqualification.
