Busan held a presentation session under the theme of 'Busan, preparing for a new era of the marine transport industry' and a ceremony for Maritime Cluster Networking: Mac-Net, led by private associations, in Haeundae's Nurimaru APEC House, on November 24th, 2015. Although Busan has firmly maintained its status as the No. 5 'Super Harbor' in the world, its competitiveness as a maritime city places it 11th in the world. Busan City has set seven visions to help it achieve its goal as the 5th best maritime city in the world by 2030. Busan will become a worldwide maritime leading city through its own specialized promotions for maritime industries establishing the KIMST (Korea Institute of Maritime Science and Technology promotion), activating maritime finance and law, and expanding the market for ship management and cruises.
