A counseling service and free health check-up for foreign residents in Busan and Gimhae will be provided for two days on October 30 and 31 at Gimhae CCI (Chamber of Commerce and Industry). To promote the rights and interests of foreign residents in Busan and Gimhae, Busan City and 6 government agencies (the Ministry of Justice, Ministry of Education, Science and Technology, Ministry of Public Administration and Security, Ministry for Health, Welfare and Family Affairs, Ministry of Labor, and Ministry of Gender Equality) have been jointly hosting this event since 2007.

The city expects that this event will help foreign residents, including married immigrants and their children, as well as workers and students, to adjust to Korean society and will help the ministries to gather their wider opinions. The government agencies will present their policies on foreign residents and will hold various cultural events to create a festive mood for all participants.
