City of Busan to Host UCC Contest

The City of Busan will host the 13th Busan Metropolitan City UCC Contest. A total of 7.2 million won in prizes is available and the deadline for submissions is November 28, 2014.
Since 2002, Busan has been holding the UCC Contest to expand the city’s visual culture industry and enhance its global hub status. Under the subject of ‘부산하다! Do BUSAN!’, the contest is looking for UCC about Busan, a dream city full of positivity where anything is possible.
Submissions are open to those of Korean nationality or registered foreign residents (individuals or groups of less than four). Any genres of digital UCC including CF, promotional videos, music videos and documentaries less than five minutes in length may be submitted.

The City of Busan is scheduled to announce a total of 28 winning works in December after review. The grand prize winner will be awarded 2 million won, the top excellent prize winner will be awarded 1 million won and two excellent prize winners will be awarded 500,000 won each, four participation prize winners will be awarded 300,000 won each and 20 runner-up winners will be awarded 100,000 won each. This year, the mayor’s award will be extended to four of the top works submitted. The award ceremony is scheduled to be held in January, 2015.
Winning works will be used to promote the City of Busan through BADATV, Youtube, Youku and other video-sharing websites.
