Free Wireless Internet available at major tourist attractions in Busan

Free wireless access to the Internet can be enjoyed at all beaches and major attractions in Busan from April, 2009.

 

Busan City provides free Wi-Fi wireless internet access at 23 locations, including major tourist attractions and cultural facilities in Busan. The free Wi-Fi network has been implemented in the following areas: five beaches at Gwangalli, Songdo, Songjeong, Dadaepo and Ilgwang; seven tourist attractions including Yongdusan Park, Jagalchi Market, Taejongdae, the Children’s Park, Dongbaek Island, Geumjeongsanseong Fortress and the International Cruise Terminal; five public facilities including Gwangbokno, Busan Station plaza, Sajik Sports Complex, Seomyeon intersection, and the City Hall; three cultural facilities, including the Busan Cultural Center, the Busan Metropolitan Museum of Art, and the Eulsukdo Cultural Center; and three sports facilities, at Buk-gu Cultural & Ice Center, Samnak Sports Park and Gangseo Sports Park. In those areas, wireless-compatible laptop or PDA users are automatically connected to the “Infra portal” by simply turning on their computers. The Infra portal will provides travel and transportation information for tourists in Busan.

 

A free wireless internet service has been offered in the Haeundae beach area since November, 2007.
