First phase due to be finished by September

 

Construction of the PIFF Center, dubbed “Dureraum.” is gathering momentum. The Busan city began drawing up its construction documents after deciding on a one-year delay due to an increase in costs.

 

They decided to increase the budget and begin design of construction simultaneously instead of waiting for the budget problem to be solved, since it may take too long to wait for a solution.

 

The Austrain construction company Coop Himmelblau, which was chosen through an international public competition and Korean agent Heerim Architects & Planners will assume responsibility for the construction work.

 

Busan City signed the papers to start basic construction last December. Basic construction is expected to be complete by the end of September. It is now more probable the main job will start within the year.
