The Opening of Busan Fishing Village

The Busan Fishing Village with the theme of ‘Fishing Village Cultural Experience Connected From River To Sea’ opened on Feburary 23, 2007. It is expected to be a tourism venue enabling visitors to experience Busan’s special features.

 

Construction on it commenced in December 2004 to ensure the continued inheritance of traditional fishing village folk culture. After completion of the exhibits displayed inside, the opening ceremony was held on Friday,February 23, 2007, 2:30 p.m..

 

The Busan Fishing Village is a three story vessel-shaped building and greets visitors with the exhibition theme of fishing village folk culture: ‘Fishing Village Culture Experience Connected from River to Sea’ and ‘From River to Sea and From Fishing Village to Port’.

 

The Busan Fishing Village opened to the public on Saturday, Feburary 24, 2007. It will be open daily from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., except for January 1 and Mondays.

 

The admission fees are:

for individuals: 1,500 won for youths (over 13 and under 24 years of age) and 2,500 won for adults,

for groups of 20 or more: 800 won for youths (over 13 and under 24 years of age) and 1,500 won for adults,

free for children under age 12, the elderly over age 65 and families who possess the Family Love Card.

 

The Busan Fishing Village is located in Neghborhood Park 2 (across Hawmyeong Subway Sation), 2279 bunji Hwamyeong-dong, Buk-gu, Busan.
