Busan's Jagalchi Market reopens after renovation

The renovated Busan Jagalchi Market is providing visitors with a wider variety of eateries and sites to see. The first thing people will notice is the huge seafood buffet Oaje, which opened on the fifth and sixth floors on Oct. 24. It is by far the largest in Asia, serving up to 1,000 guests at one time in the venue of 3,500 square meters.
Also slated to open on Dec. 1 are Cheongsane Food Corp.'s promotion hall, a shopping mall, a cafe and a karaoke, which will be on the third floor. On Dec. 26, a night market, which runs until 2 to 3 a.m., is scheduled to open with local dishes such as sea eel and whale meat.
The Jagalchi Market bustles with over 10,000 daily visitors.
