IOC forum on sports to be held in Busan

The International Olympic Committee, or IOC, will hold a forum on sports, education, and culture in Busan next year prior to the 2008 TreX-Game Busan, and many IOC members are expected to take part in the event. The 2008 TreX-Game Busan Organizing Committee, the Korea Sports Council, and the IOC completed a memorandum of understanding to host the IOC forum on sports, education, and culture in Busan.
Busan Mayor Hur Nam-sik, who is also the chairman of the 2008 TreX-Game Busan Organization Committee, attended the signing ceremony along with chairman Kim Jung-kil of the Korea Sports Council, and IOC Director Sithole of the International Cooperation and Development, in place of IOC President Jacques Rogge. The IOC forum on sports, education, and culture will kick off its five-day run at BEXCO on Sept. 25, 2008.
