Hwamyeong Toboggan Slope opened for the winter season.

Busan Nakdong River Project Executive Office has formally opened the toboggan slope at the public outdoor swimming pool that was established at Hwamyeong Waterfront Park, Buk-gu this summer. The slope will be open to sledders from December 21, 2012 through February 17, 2013.

 

The slope is 70 meters long, 18 meters wide and 7 meters high, and is equipped with a snowplough as well as a variety of entertainment facilities such as a bouncy castle and a trampoline, as well as a snack bar.

 

Opening hours are from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. on weekdays, and from 9:30 a.m. until 5:30 p.m. on weekends. Admission is 5,000 won for adults, 4,000 won for youths and 3,000 won for children. The Ride All Day Pass (admission plus unlimited rides) costs 13,000 won.

 

To get to the toboggan slope by metro, get off at Sujeong Station (Line 2) and then walk about 10 minutes toward the Nakdong riverside. By bus, take Bus Nos. 115, 59, 111, 121, or 126. Free parking is available as well for those going there by car. 


As an all-year-round family-oriented theme park, Hwamyeong Outdoor Swimming Pool will be used as a water park in the hot summer months, as a skating rink and sledding ground in the winter, and as an outdoor stage and cafeteria in the spring and fall.
