The Korea Grand Sale from Jan. 11 to Feb. 28 next year offers discounts up to half price

The Korea Grand Sale, a shopping and tourism festival where foreigners can enjoy shopping at up to 50 percent discounts to take place.


 

A shopping and tourism festival for foreigners, the 2013 Korea Grand Sale is hosted by Busan City and Visit Korea Committee. The sale takes place from Jan. 11, 2013 to Feb.28 in Busan, Seoul, Jeju and other major tour sites of Korea. At the 2013 Korea Grand Sale, 85 businesses and 24,700 stores in department stores, duty-free shop, hotels, large markets and convenience stores participating and many performances are also scheduled. The festival includes offers up to 50 percent discount to foreigner tourists and residents as a festival providing opportunity to experience traditional culture.


 

The city is hosting the discount sales event for 49 days at hotels, department stores and restaurants in major tour sites as Haeundae, Nampo-dong, Gwangalli and Seomyeon. At Shinsegae Department Store, Lotte Department Store and Lotte Duty Free Shop, you can enjoy half priced deals. Hotels and accommodations are planning to host various events as well such as discounts for restaurants and free access to subsidiary facilities during the Grand Sale period.


 

It is easy to participate in the event. Visit the Korea Grand Sale Web site (www.koreagrandsale.co.kr) and print out a coupon and just show it to the cashier when paying for the item. You can also download electronic coupons using smartphones and mobile gadgets and show it to the cashier. Korea Grand Sale promotion pamphlet’s paper coupons can also be used. There is no need to carry many copies of the coupon. Just carry one copy and show it every time you pay for your product. But, please take note that you cannot receive additional discount offered by other events.


 

Visit Korea Committee staff commented, “We have prepared a variety to experience such as the Hallyu culture contents along with shopping as part of the Grand Sale. We are planning to promote the event so the people can feel a unique aspect of Korea.”
