BFIA to support Korean Speech Contest in Kaohsiung, Taiwan.
The Busan Foundation for International Activities (BFIA) will support a 'Korean Speech Contest' taking place in Kaohsiung, Taiwan on November 24th. The BFIA Chairman's Prize and a round-trip flight ticket between Busan and Kaohsiung will be awarded to the winner of the Open Competition, and free Korean language classes for 3 months at Kyungsung University will be awarded to the winner of the College Students Competition. The event is being co-hosted by the Kaohsiung Korean Association and Kaohsiung Korean International School, in celebration of Kaohsiung's 'Korean Culture Day'. The BFIA has been supporting the event since last year. Kaohsiung is Busan's first foreign sister city, with the sister city relationship established in June, 1966.
BFIA to support Korean Speech Contest in Shimonoseki and Fukuoka.
The BFIA will grant prizes to the winners of the Korean Speech Contests that will be held in Shimonoseki and Fukuoka on November 21st and 25th respectively.
The winner of the contest in Shimonoseki will receive the Busan Mayor's Prize, and the BFIA Chairman's Prize will be given to the winner of the contest held in Fukuoka. The two winners will also be invited to visit Busan for 4 days on a trip offered by the BFIA. The BFIA has been supporting this event every year in order to motivate Japanese citizens to study the Korean language and at the same time improve the spirit of friendship between the two cities.
