The 2015 IDB-IIC Annual Meeting of the Boards of Governors will take place from March 26-29, 2015, at BEXCO. This meeting is the 56th Annual Meeting of the Board of Governors of the IDB and the 30th Annual Meeting of the Board of Governors of the Inter-American Investment Corporation (IIC). The general assembly will be followed by the Korea-Latin America and the Caribbean (LAC) Business Summit, Korea-Latin America Knowledge Sharing Forum, Youth Forum, and many more events.
The Korea-LAC Business Summit will be held from March 26-27 to support Busan-based and Korean companies in developing LAC markets. A Korea-LAC Business Consultation meeting and a Korea-LAC Business Forum are also scheduled to be held during the summit.
About 100 major LAC import and export companies and 120 Korean companies interested in extending their import and export business into LAC markets are expected to attend the Korea-LAC Business meeting. One-to-one business talks, workshops, promotional exhibitions and industrial inspections will also take place.
As part of the annual meeting, this year's Business Forum will be a great opportunity to strengthen cooperation and partnerships through various programs such as the Opening Plenary & High-Level Session, Parallel Sessions, Business Matchmaking, TPO Training program, Technical Tour, and so on.
Latin America is a region with huge potential for growth and development. It has a population of 0.6 billion, GDP of 6 trillion dollars and annual growth of 6 percent. Through the opportunities for cooperation to be presented at the IDB-IIC Annual Meeting, Korean companies are expected to strengthen their relationships in LAC and expand their presence in LAC markets.
