IT Expo: Venue for International Business

The launch of the 2009 IT Expo Busan will take place within a month.
The Busan City government and the Busan IT Industry Promotion Agency said on July 28 that the 2009 IT Expo Busan will be held from September 2 to 5 at Bexco in Busan. The event is held by the Ministry of Knowledge Economy and the Busan City government with the sponsorship of Electronic Times, the Busan IT Industry Promotion Agency and Bexco.

Under the theme of ‘Ubiquitous is full,’ there will be 170 participating companies in 500 booths to introduce cutting-edge technology and products of the convergence IT, the next generation ubiquitous computing technology, the digital content & software and the robot business.
Particularly, this year, the event will be business-oriented. IT companies as well as manufacturing and service companies are interested in the event to raise their competitiveness based on new technology.

The Busan IT Industry Promotion Agency is preparing various business events and marketing supports to make the event the largest IT event in the Southeastern part of Korea with the focus on business. To this end, it has invited the largest number of companies for exhibition, extended buyers and participating companies and targeted valid buyers who will purchase the buying.
The venue consists of the B2B zone, the B2C zone and the Theme pavilion to boost the progress of trade. Also, there will be a business meeting with invited foreign buyers, a promotion event for local companies, a conference of the technological transfer by ETRI and a showcase of new technology.
To invite more audiences, the event will have the RoboWorld Busan 2009 as a side event. By doing so, the event will create a synergetic effect where audiences can experience new technology in the Theme Pavilion.

Jung Moon-sub, chief of the business operation, the Busan IT Industry Promotion Agency, said, “We are providing various benefits to participating companies such as free accommodations, advanced access to business events and discount on booth charge. Also, we arranged products and technologies by business types and target customers to maximize opportunities of meeting with buyers and promoting products.”
Meanwhile, in the previous event, there were 1,774 business inquiries were made with KRW 16.52 billion worth contracts.
